What is Pride at the Park?
Pride at the Park was designed as a celebration for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Our mission is to create a welcoming, educational, youth-led celebration for Narberth, Lower Merion Township, and surrounding areas by featuring LGBTQIA+ and allied artists, performers, organizations, and businesses. It’s a time when people from all around Narberth and Lower Merion can come together to celebrate and learn in a fun and safe environment. You can expect food, live music, local artists and vendors, non-profits and student organizations. Our team is dedicated to planning the first major pride event in Narberth and Lower Merion.
If you are looking to support our cause, consider donating to our fundraiser for the Trevor project- the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people and LGBTQ youth are 4x more likely than their peers to attempt suicide. These donations will save the lives of LGBTQ youth by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs. If you are in a crisis and/or need someone to talk to, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 866-488-7386 (The Trevor Project).
